Program Highlights

Small Class Size

The teacher-student ratio is 10-1 in kindergarten.  The children move about the building throughout the day and work with multiple teachers who specialize in their subject.  The small class sizes provide a nurturing environment, allowing individual attention and faster mastery of basic skills.

Advanced Academic Curriculum

Westminster offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to provide a solid foundation in reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. This curriculum is complemented by French language immersion, ensuring a well-rounded educational foundation.  The kindergarten students are working at an advanced level that is comparable to that of a first grader in public schools.

Phonics-Based Reading Instruction

Our phonics-based reading program empowers students with essential decoding skills, fostering early literacy and setting the stage for future academic achievements.

Integrated Math and Science Learning

Our kindergarten students use hands-on approaches to complex concepts and develop practical applications to use in their everyday lives.

School Uniform

Our students wear uniforms to school each day. The school uniform helps to unite the students as Westminster students and encourages them to take pride in their appearance and be in "school mode" from the start of each day.

Cultural Enrichment Through the Arts

Kindergarten students enjoy two music classes and two art classes per week.  These classes which take place in spacious and inviting classrooms with specialist teachers offer opportunities for cultural appreciation, enriching students' educational experiences.

French Language and Culture

Beginning French language instruction introduces students to the richness of global cultures, enhancing their linguistic and cultural fluency.

Physical Education and Outdoor Play

Our kindergarten students enjoy two recesses and PE class every day!  These crucial activities promote healthy habits, teamwork, and social skills.

Extracurricular Enrichment

Our diverse after-school program offers opportunities for students to explore interests and talents in sports, music, and STEM, fostering personal growth beyond the classroom.
