Dance

Westminster’s dance program introduces students to a variety of traditional and social dances while building confidence, coordination, rhythm, and poise. Students learn both line and partner dances, including the Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, foxtrot, waltz, and jitterbug.

The program comes to life through special dances throughout the year. Sixth graders celebrate with a traditional Hoedown, while seventh and eighth graders participate in the Fall Ball, Spring Fling, and Sock Hop—each featuring its own festive theme, music, and style of dress.

Through these traditions, students develop dance skills while enjoying opportunities to socialize, celebrate, and create lasting memories with their classmates.
